We opened our first shop in Launceston in February 2004
We opened our second shop in Mevagissey in March 2008.
Our newest shop in Bodmin, opened on Monday 26th October 2009.
All our shops have a range of over 200 jars of sweets, plus a range of traditional favourites such as Sherbert Fountains and Dib Dabs, Catherine Wheels, Fruit Salads, Shrimps and many more.
In addition we also stock genuine Cornish Made biscuits, fudge, Chocolate and toffees, marked with the Cornwall Council approval mark. We stock locally made chocolate from Trenance Chocolates, and luxury fudge in a range of flavours.
During the Summer months, we stock a range of ice cream, including Kelly's Soft Whip, Roskilly's Soft Scoop and old favourites such as Fabs, Mini Milks, Rocket lollies and Feasts. These can all be found in our Launceston Ice Cream Parlour
We also offer a wide selection of Sugar Free sweets, biscuits, jams and cakes, suitable for diabetics and those with a sweet tooth who have to take care of their carb intake or who are intolerant of certain additives, colourings or preservatives. We also have over 60 Gluten Free sweets.
We are pleased to be carrying a range of Trenance handmade chocolates in our Bodmin shop, and these can be purchased individually or in boxes of 4, 8 or 16. With 36 varieties to choose from you will be able to make up that perfect box of chocolates for the special someone.
Gillard's Launceston is located in Church Street, opposite WH Smith, in what was once the London Inn, a 17th Century Town House which is on the town trail (No.8) due to its historic interest. Don't miss the magnificent granite fireplace still visible in the Ice Cream Parlour.
Our Mevagissey shop is located at the top of the town in River Street, near to the RNLI charity shop.
Our Bodmin shop is in the Market House Arcade, half way up Fore Street - we are at the end of the arcade near to Waffles Coffee Shop (which we would highly recommend by the way).
